A.H.C. 3rd Annual Photo Contest

This year’s photo contest encourages you to take the time to really look at the artistry in our built environment. Photographers of all sorts are invited to submit their images of architectural details they find imaginative, surprising, or eloquent that are in and on historic homes or buildings in the Portland area. Capture the “angels in the architecture” you might miss if you were rushing too fast.

Winning entries and seven Honorable Mention photographs will be unveiled at the Central Eastside Arts District First Friday Art Walk on September 5th. The entry deadline is August 16th.

Submissions deadline: Saturday, August 16, 2008

Submission Requirements:

• Only photographs located in the Portland, Oregon metro area should be submitted.

• A photo contest entry consists of one high resolution 8x10 inch print, with each photo labeled with submitter's name, address, phone number, address of building photographed, why you selected this porch and approximate age of building, if known. No email entries please.
• Please include a donation of $5 for each entry. You may submit up to 5 photographs. Checks should be written to the Bosco-Milligan Foundation. Proceeds will support AHC educational programs.
• Entries may be submitted by dropping off or mailing with AHC donation to either location:
  • Architectural Photo Contest, Pro Photo Supply, 1112 NW 19th, Portland, OR 97209
  • Architectural Photo Contest, AHC, 701 SE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97214
• All entries must be received by 4:30pm August 16, 2008. Winners will be notified by phone.
• All entries become the property of the Architectural Heritage Center, which may, at its discretion, copy, publish, use, adapt, and/or modify entries in any manner, in any and all media, without limitation. Submitter does not relinquish rights to use photos in any way.
