“My name is Amy Cords, I am the owner of Amielya Kaenne Creations; ‘Original Scenic & Event Photography’.
I am an independent, small business owner, a Professional Photographer, former writer and aspiring ‘Great’ business woman. I have been working hard for the past 3 years to make my business not only accessible, relative to my area but successful as well. Not only do I follow the NPRA Rodeo circuit and make my photographs available to the riders, participants and committees but I also make my extensive portfolio available for marketing, promotions and publication printing.
My public art debut in 2009 was as the featured artist for a month long Gallery display at a prominent area Winery. I currently have 15 pieces on permanent display at the Vancouver Clinic, Battle Ground, WA location in the General Medicine office. I have also displayed in many area art shows and retailers, restaurants and café’s.
I am based in the Clark County Washington area and have traveled throughout Washington and Oregon, I have been fortunate enough to enjoy our beautiful region and hopefully capture, in its natural state, the stunning sights it has to offer. My ultimate goal when I am photographing Landscape and Scenery is to capture it in its’ natural state, not to look at it and think I can make it what I think it should be. I have enjoyed exploring new towns, back roads and meeting some truly amazing people.
I have been an NPRA photographer for two years and have photographed rodeo and rough stock events for three years and I fell in love with it immediately. It is a rough and scary sport. People get hurt, hearts get broken and things don’t always come out perfect. But if you are lucky, in the right place at the right time and have just enough raw talent mixed in you get a piece of magic… just like photography.”
