On Memorial Day, master photographer and friend of Pro Photo Supply, Mary Ellen Mark, passed away. She leaves behind a legacy of some of the most inspiring, influential, and genre-defining photographs ever taken. Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement in Photography award from George Eastman House, her humanist work exposed the world to diverse people, places, and lifestyles. She was one of those rare photographers who could highlight the intrigue present in a scene that was otherwise mundane. She also had the amazing ability to show her subjects in their natural environment, often as if they weren’t even aware of her presence. Mary Ellen Mark also extended her passion for photography into teaching.

We are thankful and honored to have gotten the chance to meet her and serve her on several occasions in the past. Below is a collection of images by Joni Kabana from Mary Ellen Mark’s last visit to Pro Photo Supply.
