Returns & Exchanges

Payment Methods

We accept most major credit cards. We do not accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders or credit card checks. Cash refunds over $100 will be tendered as a business check. Please note that refund checks may take 1-2 business days to process.

Unopened Box Returns / Exchanges

We accept returns up to 14 days from date of purchase.

To qualify for full refund, all packaging seals must be undamaged, and the product must be in new condition.

Proof of purchase is required.

Open Box Returns / Exchanges / Restocking Fees

Equipment returns will be accepted up to 14 days from date of purchase and are charged a 15% restocking fee.

Defective Items

Defective items may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase, and must meet the requirements listed above. No fees will be charged for defective items.

DJI Products

All open DJI products are final sale. All repair and warranty issues are handled with DJI.

Paper and Ink

We don't accept returns of these items as we cannot guarantee the condition of film, photo paper, and chemistry once it has left our store. We don't accept returns of opened printer paper or ink.


Most merchandise comes with a limited warranty provided by the manufacturer. All merchandise is sold as is without warranty. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied. Contact the manufacturer and refer to the warranty included with the merchandise in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship. A copy of the applicable warranty is available upon request.
We are not liable for loss or damages.

Cost and Expenses of Collection for Customers with trade credit terms

In the event that full payment is not made for the products and/or services provided by us, you are liable for payment of all expenses incurred by us in seeking collection of the amounts owed, including costs of collection agencies and attorneys’ fees.

Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.

You agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.

You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

In no case shall Pro Photo Supply, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Return Policy for Used Gear 

All used equipment is final sale unless a mechanical or optical problems are discovered by the customer. The period of time for return of used items with defective issues is 14 days.

Consignment Guidelines

All items presented for consignment must be clean and organized and must have working batteries if applicable (if you do not have them with you they can be purchased at the time of consignment). Camera bodies must have body caps. Lenses must have front and rear caps. We will not clean your equipment or sort through boxes of your gear.

We are interested in late model digital and film cameras, lenses for these cameras some lighting and some pro-oriented accessories:

    • Nikon – no non-Ai lenses or bodies
    • Canon – no manual focus bodies or lenses.

A police report is required for all items with serial numbers and these items must be held for 16 days before they can be displayed for sale. Identification in the form of a valid USA driver’s license is required to complete this report. We reserve the right to refuse any equipment for consignment. Please do not drop off your gear for assessment without contacting us first.

Consignor Access

We use a seperate platform called SimpleConsign from Traxia to allow you to see the status of your consigned items. If you don't have access to the platform and you'd like it, please send us an email at

Shipping and Pickup Policy

Local Pickup

You may choose to buy online from our webstore and pickup at our retail location. You must bring your payment card and photo ID and present them when you arrive to pick up.

Services We Use

We offer shipments via UPS and USPS. For very large freight items we prefer UPS Freight, but depending on the source and destination of the item we may elect to use a different LTL carrier. We offer local pickup at our Portland, Oregon store.

Shipping Costs

The rate you pay is based on:

  • The weight and dimensions of the item
  • The location we're shipping to
  • The carrier you selected
  • The service level you selected


Rental Policies

Reservation / Cancellation

Equipment is rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be placed up to 60 days in advance.

You must be cancel your reservation through the rental department at least 24 hours in advance, or you will be charged rent for the period reserved.

Rates and Fees

Daily rental rates begin at 10 a.m. on the day the equipment is available and ends at 10:00 a.m. on the due date.

Age Requirement

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or have a parent or guardian to authorize your rental. A parent or guardian is required to be present at pick up to sign the contract, and they must agree to be responsible financially.

Charges/Late Returns

Pro Photo Supply relies upon you returning equipment on time.

If you return the equipment late, then you will be charged daily rental rates and any lost rental income until the equipment is returned.

Cleaning Fee

The equipment must be clean when returned to Pro Photo Supply. If you return the equipment dirty (with smoke, mud or dirt, chalk or powder, sand, etc.), Pro Photo Supply reserves the right to charge a rental cleaning fee.


A deposit may be required. The deposit will be equal to the estimated replacement cost of the equipment in the form of cash or an “Account Hold” on a credit card with satisfactory photo identification. The “Account Hold” will hold funds in the amount of the deposit for seven to ten days.

Use of Equipment and Instruction Manual Policy

If you rent from us, you must operate the equipment in a professional manner and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Instruction manuals are provided upon request. You will be charged for the manual if not returned with the equipment.

When you arrive to pick up, it is important to inspect the equipment and that it is in good working order, functions as expected, and is free of defects, unless noted in writing on the reservation.

Loss or Damage

You are responsible for the equipment while it is in your possession. If the equipment is damaged beyond repair or not returned (lost or stolen), you will pay the full replacement cost.


You must obtain insurance coverage on equipment unless you have an established credit account and Pro Photo Supply has waived this requirement in writing.

The insurance must be all risk, equal to the replacement cost of the equipment (as set by Pro Photo Supply), the primary insurance for the equipment, and name Pro Photo Supply as a “loss payee.” Pro Photo Supply may require proof of insurance at any time.

Try Before You Buy

If you purchase similar, new equipment from Pro Photo Supply within six business days of a rental, Pro Photo Supply will credit one day’s rental rate against the purchase price.

Spare Bulb and Battery Policies

Spare modeling lamps and flashtubes are provided upon request and without charge so long as any inoperative lamp or flashtube is returned. You should carry spare batteries. Charged batteries will be provided but are not guaranteed. You will be charged for any missing or damaged lamps, flashtubes, or batteries.

Disclaimer of Warranty/Limitation of Remedies



Pro Photo Supply may recover unreturned equipment from renter. If Pro Photo Supply incurs any costs in attempting to recover the equipment or any amount due, your reservation means you agree to reimburse Pro Photo Supply for reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs, including those on appeal. This agreement is governed by Oregon law, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Venue for any proceeding arising out of or related to this Agreement or the rental of the equipment lies exclusively in Multnomah County, Oregon, and all parties stipulate to the personal jurisdiction of such court and waive any right to remove or transfer the proceeding to any other court or venue.

Shop Pay Installments FAQ

What is the option to pay in installments on Shop Pay?

When checking out with Shop Pay, you now have the option to pay now or later. Paying in installments on Shop Pay allows you to split your purchase amount into 4 equal, biweekly installment payments—with 0% interest, no hidden or late fees, and no impact on your credit score.* In some instances, your first payment is due when you make your purchase; otherwise, your first payment is due 2 weeks after your purchase.

How it works

  1. Add items to your cart (or shopping bag).
  2. Check out with Shop Pay.
  3. Choose to pay in 4 installments.

Your first payment is either due at checkout or 2 weeks after your purchase. The next 3 remaining installments are automatically charged to your card saved on Shop Pay every 2 weeks. Don't worry, you'll get an email reminder before each payment to remind you.

What if I make a return on a purchase made through Installments with Shop Pay?

If your refund amount is less than the amount remaining on your Shop Pay Installments balance, then you can expect one or both of the following:

  • A smaller payment balance on the final payment
  • Less future payments on the remaining loan balance

If your refund amount is more than the amount remaining on your Shop Pay Installments balance, then you can expect to receive the difference as a refund to your original debit card or credit card payment method within 3 to 10 business days.

Which payment methods are accepted if I use the option to pay Installments on Shop Pay?

The installments option on Shop Pay is available on debit and credit cards.
