Store Gallery for June: Clark College Advanced Photography Students

Project Statement

Clark College in Vancouver, WA offers an AA Transfer degree with an emphasis in
Photography as well as an AFA (Associate of Fine Art) in Photography. Our program integrates contemporary digital photography with traditional darkroom techniques. Every student coming through the program learns how to use a manual 35mm camera, process film, and make silver gelatin prints in our well-equipped darkroom. As students progress through the program, they have the opportunity to explore color film, medium and large format photography, pinhole and toy cameras, and liquid emulsions such as Cyanotype and Van Dyke Brown.

Students from our program transfer to four-year BFA programs, work as professionals in the field, start their own photography businesses, or simply enjoy a lifelong passion as amateur photographers. We have open enrollment in our courses and offer non-credit classes through our Community and Continuing Education Department [CCE].

This summer we will be offering:
Photography I [5 credits]: July 10 th – September 1 st M/W 9:00-11:20 AM or Online
Darkroom Photography [CCE]: July 10 th – July 31 st , Monday 6:00-9:00 PM
Open Darkroom Lab [CCE]: August 8 th – August 28 th , Monday 6:00-9:00 PM
