Deity S-Mic 2 Shotgun Microphone
The S-Mic 2 is a medium length XLR shotgun ready for anything you throw at it: great off-axis rejection, an RF interference-proof body, ultra-low self noise and weather-proof circuitry.
With remarkably low off-axis coloration, the S-Mic 2 is designed to pick up rich, full sounds on set, even in the hands of a novice boom operator.
The S-Mic 2’s body is 100% brass making it both an incredibly strong and durable piece of equipment AND resistant to RF interference.
The internal circuitry is sprayed and coated with a clear epoxy that allows the microphone to perform without issue in even the most humid environments. This coating also gives the mic a water-resistance level that allows it to work in the rain without being damaged.
The S-Mic 2 has an ultra-low noise floor at 12dB (A-weighted), 24dB (CCIR 268-3). Combined with its anti-RF interference build, the S-Mic 2 is able to be boosted in post with a lot less background noise than other microphones on the market.
